Description

The Ball of the Four Arts, held each spring from 1892 through 1966, was attended by architecture, painting, sculpture, and printmaking students from the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris. A theme was announced each year and participants were required to be in costume, although how revealing those outfits were was left up to the attendees.
