Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors celebrates the legendary Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama’s 65-year career. The exhibition spans the range of Kusama’s work, from her groundbreaking paintings and performances of the 1960s, when she staged polka-dot “Happenings” in the streets of New York, to her widely admired immersive installations and the US debut of her recent series of paintings, My Eternal Soul. Visitors have the unprecedented opportunity to experience seven of Kusama’s captivating Infinity Mirror Rooms, including Where the Lights in My Heart Go, exclusive to the exhibition’s presentation in Cleveland. Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors provides an unforgettable sensory journey through the mind and legacy of one of the world’s most significant artists.

Timed tickets are required due to the popularity of the artist and the nature of the exhibition, which features eight immersive experiences, including one exclusive to the CMA. You enter seven of the rooms and peek into one room. We recommend arriving early to ensure you are ready to enter the ticketing line at the appointed time on your ticket. Due to the popularity of the exhibition, latecomers may not be able to be accommodated.

The exhibition is open to all ages. However, here are some things to know before visiting:
Plan to enter the line in the museum’s atrium 10 to 15 minutes before the time on your ticket. We advise you to anticipate delays due to local traffic and limited parking.
Arriving early will not speed up your entry into the exhibition. You will be promptly admitted into the exhibition at the time indicated on your ticket. While you wait, enjoy the museum’s free exhibitions and free permanent collection galleries.
There is no reentry, so be sure to eat and use the restroom before your entry time.
Tickets are nontransferable and nonrefundable. If you arrive more than 5 minutes after the time on your ticket, we cannot guarantee entry. We will attempt to admit you at the next available time slot that day, but late entry is not guaranteed.
The majority of this exhibition is accessible. Two Infinity Mirror Rooms: Love Forever and Where the Lights in My Heart Go are not accessible to those in wheelchairs due to the dimensions and height of the entry point. Standard wheelchairs can enter and exit the rest of the Infinity Mirror Rooms one at a time. However, due to the rooms’ size restrictions, wheelchairs cannot turn around once inside them and must back out to exit. The room sizes vary, with the narrowest entry point being 30 inches (77 cm) wide. Due to the dimensions and fragility of the Infinity Mirror Rooms, motorized wheelchairs cannot enter the exhibition, however, CMA offers standard sized wheelchairs for visitors able to transfer. The CMA offers special accommodations to our visitors with disabilities, including a virtual reality experience. Contact us or ask front-line staff for details. For more information, see our Accessibility webpage.
