About The Exhibition

The paintings in this exhibition ranged in date from the early Renaissance to the mid 19th century and explore challenges to faith, meditations on human suffering, and astonishing stories of devotion and betrayal. Most of the works were acquired through a fund established by Leonard C. Hanna Jr.
