About The Event

The first commissioned artwork for the Ames Family Atrium, Ámà: The Gathering Place by Emeka Ogboh (Nigerian, b. 1977) is an installation integrating sound, sculpture, and textiles. Ogboh grounds Ámà: The Gathering Place in Igbo traditions that he reframes through a global contemporary perspective. Join us to hear him discuss this site-specific project with CMA curators Emily Liebert and Smooth Nzewi. Free; ticket required.
