A horizontally oriented sepia photograph depicts a bustling river scene. In the foreground, a long dragon boat carrying dozens of rowers moves toward the right. Behind them, small boats with arched roofs cluster near a tall junk with ribbed sails. A large steamboat sits in the distant background. The monochrome image captures a densely packed waterway beneath a pale sky, with text at the bottom center identifying the scene in Canton.
