Description

The cherry blossoms and stylized wave pattern that appear on this dish remain popular today.
A circular porcelain dish features vibrant blue and red enamel designs. At the base, three blue latticed baskets of varying heights rise from repeating blue wave patterns. Cherry blossoms outlined in red with orange centers overflow from the baskets and cluster at their base. While blossoms float across the upper left, the upper right area remains open white space. The smooth glaze creates a subtle sheen that highlights the delicate patterns.
