A horizontally oriented sepia-toned albumen print depicts the entrance to a temple. Centered, wide stone stairs lead up to an arched gateway topped with an ornate, tiered spire. Two massive, white chinthe statues flank the stairs, adjacent to thatched-roof shelters housing people with medium skin tones in light clothing. Lush palm trees and foliage rise behind the structure against a pale sky.
