Did You Know?

Seifū Yohei IV was the second son of Yohei III.

Description

This teapot has a well-balanced design of bamboo in underglaze blue and nyoi staff-head motifs applied to both sides at the shoulder.
A circular white porcelain lid features a smooth, glossy surface and downward-curving edges. A thin underglaze blue line forms a ring around the center, where a dark metal handle tilts slightly toward our right. Near the bottom edge of the blue ring, a small air hole pierces the porcelain. The soft light highlights the glaze's sheen, contrasting with the dark, textured metal base and ring at the center.
