A horizontally oriented albumen print depicts a landscape of ruins under a pale sky. In the foreground at the left, a large earthen mound topped with wooden posts rises from rubble. At the center, a lone tree stands near small figures. On our right, an ornate building with a central dome and two tall, slender towers rises behind a low wall. Another ruined structure stands in the distance between the mound and tree.
