A square-oriented black-inked lithograph depicts an interior space in high contrast on cream-colored paper. Along a wall to our left, several rectangular frames hang in a row. In the foreground, a man with a dark beard and flat cap faces right. Behind him, a second figure appears as a dark silhouette. Thick horizontal and vertical lines define the architecture, while a heavy black shadow fills the right.
