A vertically oriented gelatin silver print depicts a massive tree trunk centered within a dense forest. The trunk flares into deep, ridged roots at the base, while smoother bark bears the carvings "DAVID G" and "Steve L." Sunlight filters from the upper left, casting dappled light across the leafy ground. Thinner trees emerge in the background, creating depth through varied tones of gray and white that guide the eye deeper into the woods.
