A vertically oriented graphite drawing with red wash on an irregularly shaped paper fragment depicts a young man from the shoulders up, head turned toward our right. A draped turban sits atop tight, dark ringlets. Large eyes gaze forward, while sparse streaks of red pigment paint his lips and outline jewelry. Fine hatching shades his jaw and hair. Much of the paper is left unpainted, showing the weathered texture of the fragment.
