The front of a vertically oriented manuscript page features fourteen rows of calligraphic script within a central rectangle on aged, tan paper. A narrow top section contains one line of gold script above thirteen lines of black ink. Thin gold and blue borders frame the text block. Dark brown water stains mark the top edge, and a faint silhouette of a figure appears in the wide left margin.
