A vertically oriented brown ink aquatint on cream paper depicts a youth with light skin tone in profile, facing right. Their hands are clasped at the waist, standing barefoot on patchy ground. They wear a tattered jacket and oversized pants bunched at the ankles. A dark cloth shadows their head and face. To our left is a leaning tree; a distant horizon with low buildings and hills stretches toward our right.
