A vertically oriented drypoint print on cream paper depicts a seated girl with light skin facing us. Her dark hair is a dense mass of fine, wavy lines topped by a bow. Sparse, fluid lines outline her collared dress and clasped hands. Fine, streaking cross-hatching shades her pensive face and clothing. Handwritten script marks the bottom margin, identifying the artist, Arthur Wm Heintzelman, as well as the state and impression.
