A vertically oriented etching and aquatint in dark ink depicts an interior scene. On our right, two men with light skin tones study a large print resting on an easel to our left. One man sits in a chair with his back to us, while the other stands behind him. Below the shaded scene, a heavy border encloses a blank rectangle. Handwritten text in the margin reads "à Delâtre" followed by a signature.
