A vertically oriented sepia photogravure depicts Inashah, a Yakima man with medium-dark skin tone. Facing us directly, lips set firm, his face emerges from a dark, shadowy background. White highlights glint on his brow and nose. He wears multiple strands of beaded necklaces and a fur-trimmed garment decorated with circular medallions and patterned beadwork. A large white feather is tucked into his hair and another hangs near his chest.
