This impression of a book of woodblock-printed designs is missing a spread that depicts a crane.
A woodblock-printed folding book features two aged, cream-colored pages within thin, double-lined borders. Vertical rows of black ink characters stand against the paper. On the right page, columns of varying heights descend toward a small red square seal at the bottom. To the left, two additional columns sit near the center crease. A tiny metal hinge joins the pages at the top, securing the edges of the historic volume.
