This impression of a book of woodblock-printed designs is missing a spread that depicts a crane.
A horizontally oriented woodblock print in black ink on aged beige paper depicts a radish spanning two pages. The root, rendered in thin gray outlines, lies to the right with a split tip. Stalks with splotchy, dark leaves fan out toward the left, featuring visible veins and varied ink tones. A vertical seam divides the plain background down the center.
