Did You Know?

This impression of a book of woodblock-printed designs is missing a spread that depicts a crane.
A horizontally oriented print in black ink and gray wash depicts two men with light skin tones. On our left, a man with a partially shaved head and ponytail leans forward in a patterned kimono. On our right, a bearded man with a ponytail looks back over his shoulder toward the first man. Bold gray washes and fine black lines define their patterned robes against the plain paper of an open book.
