Did You Know?

Shazanrō was one of Tani Bunchō's style names.
A woodblock-printed book spread features a peony illustration spanning two pages. On the right, a large white flower with layered petals grows on a stem with muted green leaves. The plant continues onto the left page, beside four vertical columns of black Japanese calligraphy and a small red square seal. Both pages are enclosed in thin black borders, and the book's ornate patterned cover is visible at the far edges.
