A vertically oriented black-and-white photograph depicts a man with medium skin tone standing facing us against a textured wall. Barefoot with arms crossed, he wears a light, striped long-sleeved shirt and trousers gathered at the ankles. A wide-brimmed hat is tucked under his right arm, while a woven bag hangs from his left shoulder. Strong diagonal shadows from tree branches fall across his body and the background.
