This horizontal spread of a woodblock-printed book features vertical rows of black-inked calligraphy on tan paper. The loopy characters flow down the page, with ink occasionally fading. Denser text occupies the left page, while the right features smaller script near the bottom. Subtle discoloration and texture are visible near the center binding. The fluid, rhythmic strokes of the Japanese characters create movement across the weathered, traditional pages.
