This cream-colored book spread has vertical Japanese calligraphy surrounding woodblock-printed images framed in black. On the right, a figure in blue and white robes rides a gray horse toward our left. Meanwhile, on our left, two figures wearing patterned blue, yellow, and pink robes walk left, their faces obscured by wide black hats. All have light skin tones. Wavy lines define the horse's mane, and red and orange tassels decorate the harness.
