An open woodblock-printed book features vertical columns of cursive Japanese calligraphy in black ink on aged, creamy paper peppered with brown spots. The flowing characters are arranged in dense rows, separated by a central vertical fold. Both pages contain distinct upper and lower sections of text. A sliver of a blue cover is visible along the far-left edge.
