A woodblock-printed book page spread features vertical columns of black Japanese calligraphy within a thin black border on aged cream paper. Behind the text, a faint, monochromatic illustration depicts a seated figure in flowing robes. The facing page is largely blank, showing subtle horizontal linear textures. Slight discoloration and wear mark the margins of the warm-toned paper, with small identifying numbers in the upper left corner.
