Black ink brushed on a horizontally oriented woodblock-printed book features two cream-colored, fibrous pages bisected by a stitched center binding. Vertical columns of cursive script flow across the upper portions, while smaller, thicker characters line the bottom edge. Faint brown stains mark the top corners of the aged paper. The composition highlights the elegant, vertical arrangement of fluid ink strokes against the textured, irregular surface.
