A horizontally oriented spread of aged, cream paper features two distinct pages bisected by a central crease. Vertical columns of fluid black ink descend in undulating strokes, creating rhythmic movement from top to bottom. Splotches of faded brown stain the upper edges, while small binding holes dot the central fold. Dense passages of calligraphy occupy the upper sections, thinning to shorter groupings of characters along the bottom edge.
