A woodblock-printed book spread features two pages of black ink calligraphy on cream-colored paper. Dense, fluid columns of interconnected characters flow vertically across the upper two-thirds of both pages. Below, shorter, widely spaced columns of text form a horizontal row across the bottom. The matte paper has uneven, yellowed edges and minor wear. A vertical crease separates the two rectangular pages.
