Black ink brushed on horizontally oriented off-white paper features two distinct sides. It is bisected vertically by a central gutter holding small holes and threads from the binding. Numerous columns of black calligraphic script run from top to bottom. On the left, long lines are interspersed with smaller characters. On the right, script fills the upper section with shorter, spaced-out columns at the base.
