An open book spread features vertical columns of fluid, cursive black ink calligraphy on cream paper. Loopy characters undulate down the pages from right to left, occasionally fading into the grain. Along the bottom edge, shorter columns of text are staggered in rows. Tiny binding holes and dark spots mark the central crease, while the rhythmic, cascading script creates a sense of movement across the aged woodblock print.
