A horizontally oriented book spread features vertical rows of black-inked calligraphy on cream paper. Loopy characters streak down the pages in undulating columns, with ink occasionally fading out to create rhythmic movement. Each column is staggered, with interconnected script flowing from one character to the next. The aged, cream-colored surface shows subtle brown spots, mirroring the expressive, fluid style of traditional hanging scrolls.
