An open woodblock-printed book reveals vertical columns of black ink calligraphy on aged cream paper. Loopy, interconnected characters streak down the upper sections, their fluid lines creating an undulating movement across the spread. Beneath this flow, shorter, structured columns of text sit spaced evenly along the bottom edge. Small dark spots at the central binding punctuate the rhythmic, sometimes fading ink, which shifts from deep black to faint charcoal across the two-page layout.
