A horizontally oriented woodblock print features an open book spread on cream-colored paper. The left page displays vertical columns of black ink characters within a thin rectangular border, superimposed over a faint gray illustration of a seated figure. Small red seals appear in the left margin. The right page is blank, showcasing a grainy, fibrous texture throughout. A dark vertical crease divides the spread, which is finished with aged, rounded edges.
