A horizontally oriented book open to a two-page spread features multiple vertical columns of black ink calligraphy on cream paper. Fluid, loopy characters streak down the pages in undulating lines of varying thickness, the ink occasionally fading. Longer rows of script dominate the upper half, while shorter columns of smaller characters sit near the bottom. On the right, the stacked edges of numerous pages are visible, revealing the volume's substantial depth.
