A horizontally oriented spread displays two pages of a woodblock-printed book. Columns of black ink calligraphy flow vertically down the cream-colored paper. The characters are rendered in a loose, cursive style, their varying weight creating rhythmic movement. Denser clusters of smaller text gather at the bottom of each column. A sharp vertical crease marks the spine, while a thin strip of blue binding is visible along the far-right edge.
