In this horizontally oriented spread, black ink undulates in rhythmic, vertical columns. Fluid, cursive characters flow from right to left across cream-colored pages, their density at the top thinning into sparse strokes below. A central gutter bisects the woodblock-printed spread. On the far right, the layered thickness of the remaining pages creates a textured stack, finished with a faint sliver of light blue along the outer edge.
