An open woodblock-printed book features tan paper inked with vertical columns of black calligraphy. The loopy, undulating characters flow down the pages, varying in density to create rhythmic movement. Faint, reddish-brown circular stains mark the lower middle sections. Below the main text, smaller characters and symbols are staggered. To the far right, a stitched binding is visible along the edge of the horizontally oriented, fine-grained pages.
