A horizontally oriented woodblock print features an open book spread bisected vertically by a central gutter. On both sides, vertical columns of black ink calligraphy flow from right to left across cream-colored textured paper. Smaller groupings of script rest at the column bases. The matte surface displays a visible horizontal grain and slight edge discoloration, providing a weathered backdrop for the rhythmic, dark strokes of the woodblock print.
