A horizontally oriented niello engraving in dense black-inked fine lines depicts mythological figures with light skin tones, at the center of which Triton, a man with a fish tail, faces our right beside a nude Nereid holding a billowing cloth. Two winged children flank the pair, guiding sea serpents with reins against a dark, densely hatched background. On our left, one child looks down, while another child on our right faces toward us.
