The same textile exists in a blue palette, suggesting that the pattern’s colorway was customizable to fit the customer’s decor.

Description

This pattern’s title Saga refers to the Icelandic epic poems written throughout the medieval period chronicling Viking history. The stylized tree depicted alludes to Viking mythology, specifically the “Yggdrasil,” or Tree of Life.
A square cotton textile features a repeating pattern of stylized trees in bright yellow and tan on white. Large yellow tree-like forms arranged in vertical bands feature fan-shaped limbs containing smaller leaf and raindrop patterns. Interspersed between them are smaller, tan versions of the same tree motif. The symmetrical composition creates a dense grid across the fabric, with the stylized foliage repeating in a rhythmic, mirrored design.
