Ink on vertically oriented vellum features two nested maroon rectangular borders. In the upper half, a faint, translucent flower with pointed petals emerges from soft gray and tan washes. To the left, the gilded edges and stacked leaves of a bound book are visible. The cream-colored page shows scattered stains and a ghost-like botanical impression, reflecting the aging of the parchment within its hand-painted frame.
