A vertically oriented book page features watercolor botanical and animal studies within a double maroon border. Across the top, two clusters of green acorns with lobed leaves flank two individual acorns in brown and tan. Below, on the right, sits a small black and white bird in profile. Translucent vellum reveals faint, ghostly impressions of drawings from the reverse page, creating a delicate, layered composition.
