A vertically oriented watercolor on vellum features crocus plants within a brown rectangular frame. On our left, a tall purple flower with bright orange filaments rises from a bulb with thin, sprawling roots. Four smaller studies to the right show yellow and light purple crocuses at various stages of growth. Ghostly botanical outlines and pink blossoms bleed through the translucent vellum page outside the border.
