Dark red watercolor and ink on a vertically oriented cream vellum folio feature two concentric rectangular borders. A thin outer line frames a thicker inner border, enclosing a large, vacant central space. Along the left edge, the textured purple binding and gold-leaf edges of the volume are visible. The minimalist composition emphasizes the aged parchment through stark geometric lines and the balance of negative space.
