A rectangular silk damask fragment features deep reddish-purple threads woven into repeating symmetrical patterns. Ornate floral frames containing fruit-like shapes are arranged in vertical columns, interspersed with smaller stems and blossoms. The weave creates a lustrous tonal contrast against a matte background. A narrow gold-colored strip borders the left edge, while worn spots and irregular, frayed edges show the fabric is a fragment of a larger piece.
