Description

This sketchbook contains 69 pages of drawings, a diary largely devoted to the state of the artist's health, and a three-page discourse on the nature of genius and ideas.
Dark blue cursive ink marks the upper third of a vertically oriented, off-white page ruled with horizontal blue lines. The script reads: "25-th November. Genial beautiful Sunny day temp 55. no overcoat." A small numeral "9" sits in the lower right corner. The paper's right edge is worn and irregular, while the lower two-thirds consist of empty, parallel lines extending to the bottom, preserving the open space of the page.
