Description

This sketchbook contains 69 pages of drawings, a diary largely devoted to the state of the artist's health, and a three-page discourse on the nature of genius and ideas.
Graphite on the blue-lined, cream pages of an open horizontal sketchbook creates an abstract composition. The left side features a horizontal line ending in a point above a loose cluster of overlapping circles. The right features a dense assembly of dark gray scribbles and gestural loops. These marks vary in weight, interacting with the notebook's printed lines to form a rhythmic, two-page spread.
