Did You Know?

Orozco was known for his social commentary regarding revolution, inequality, and human suffering.
A horizontally oriented lithograph depicts five figures in high-contrast, grainy shading. Furthest left, a person in a white garment and bullet belt stands with their back turned. In the foreground, a figure with a medium-dark skin tone crouches, grasping a rifle. Next, three figures with light skin tones carry heavy bundles and rifles, leaning forward toward a dark, diagonal structure. Their simplified, weighted forms create a rhythmic, burdened progression against the stark, shadowed background.
