A silver rattle is shaped like a winged creature with a horse head and curved tail. Facing left, its textured body features four spherical bells suspended by wires from the belly and tail. A hollow, cylindrical tube extends straight from the rear toward the right. Fine link chains connect the creature's back to a double-loop ring. The tarnished surface shows intricate carvings of wings and a wavy mane along the neck.
